Last updated: May 2025

These Terms of Service govern your use of Statiq. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. Use of the Service

Statiq provides tools for adding dynamic features to static websites. You may use the service for lawful purposes only. You are responsible for all content you create, publish, or distribute through the platform.

You agree not to:

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify the administrator immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. Statiq is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

Accounts may be suspended or terminated for violations of these terms at the discretion of the administrator.

3. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you create using Statiq. By using the service, you grant Statiq a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for purposes beyond operating the platform.

4. Subscriber Data

If you collect email subscribers through Statiq, you are responsible for complying with applicable email marketing laws (including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CASL where applicable). You must ensure subscribers have opted in appropriately and must honor unsubscribe requests. Statiq automatically includes unsubscribe links in broadcast emails.

5. Third-Party Services

Statiq may integrate with third-party services (Groq, Resend, LM Studio). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and policies. Statiq is not responsible for the availability or actions of third-party services.

6. Availability

Statiq is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Scheduled or unscheduled downtime may occur for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Statiq and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

9. Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms can be directed to the administrator of this Statiq installation.
